Tsang Pik Shan (Sung Lan) Secondary SchoolThe new school motto of Zeng Bishan Middle School and Chonglan Middle School is "Compassion and joy, dedication and community" as the new school motto. It advocates compassion for the suffering and caring education with compassion. At the same time, it sends a message to the new generation that they should be ambitious, concentrate on their studies, live a glorious life, encourage each other with mentors and friends, and build the belief in giving back to the society. Principal Ho Pui Sing He said that he witnessed the combination of the two schools and felt honored to continue the long and meaningful educational philosophy of Chonglan Middle School. Therefore, last year he led the teachers and students to build a century-old school with the title of "Towards a Centenary. Create Glory Together". This year the school has taken a step further, with the motto of "Building a century of history and showing off its splendor", and hopes to use its unique school infrastructure and educational innovation to show the public the legacy of its ancestors who have run the school for a hundred years, and to welcome the centenary celebration in September.

It started with literati running schools to save the country. The two schools have the same moral origin.

Chonglan School was founded by layman Zeng Bishan. Master Zeng studied under Mr. Chen Zibao (named Chonglan), a great scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. Therefore, he was a disciple of Kang Youwei and was from the same school as Liang Qichao. "Chonglan saw that the country was poor and weak in the late Qing Dynasty, and decided to run schools to save the country. He actively promoted popular education among the people, and later opened the country's first boys' and girls' school in Macau, and provided high-quality education to the common people based on Western teaching concepts." Principal Ho Pui Sing stated that Master Zeng Bishan was committed to education at the time and taught in schools in Macau. Later, Master Zeng moved to Hong Kong. In memory of his mentor Chonglan, he established Chonglan School in memory of his mentor Chonglan, and he established Chonglan School and served as the principal concurrently to launch educational public welfare undertakings in Hong Kong.

Chonglan School has a long history and has cultivated countless social elites, including many famous scholars, such as the famous educationist Professor To Zuyi, former dean of the School of Education of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Li E, former dean of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Hong Kong, Mr. Liang Wenjian, the former Director of Education and Hong Kong’s first Chinese anti-corruption commissioner, and Mr. Wang Zechang, the former member of the Executive and Legislative Council. In order to commemorate the enlightenment teachings of Principal Zeng, these former Chonglan students established Zeng Bishan Middle School in 1990. Professor Ho Wen-hui, the former provost of the Chinese University who is also a former student, said that the two schools were founded by students to express gratitude to their mentors. They have the same origin and virtue, reflecting the long-lasting friendship between the two schools. The school sponsoring organization Xianghai Lotus Society proposed that Zeng Bishan Middle School continue the history of Chonglan, and the two schools will be officially combined in 2021. Principal Ho Pui Sing added that after the merger of the two schools, the school has adopted the school's school philosophy and educational mission of "initiating students' potential to carry out great achievements in the future, inheriting the virtues and wisdom of the sages and educating talents for all generations" as Tsang Pik Shan (Sung Lan) Secondary School's school philosophy and educational mission. The first couplet recalls that the predecessors established schools to inspire and educate students' talents; the second couplet talks about how future generations will inherit the virtues, benevolence and wisdom of Chinese sages and strive to cultivate outstanding talents in society.

Beautify the campus to add beauty and welcome the school anniversary with a new look

In order to celebrate its 100th anniversary and open a new page in history, the school has replaced students with new uniforms in recent years. It has also set up the largest outdoor map of the world in the school on the playground, and also set up an "Orchid Garden" so that students can relax on blue and white porcelain chairs and tables and enjoy school time. In addition, the school has carried out a campus renovation project, specifically refurbished the library, established a "Creative Technology Studio", and set up a "Gallery" to display students' creative achievements. In order to cooperate with arts education and increase students' stage performance experience, the school has invested one million Hong Kong dollars in audio-visual and lighting optimization projects in the auditorium, and established the "Stage Operations Society" to provide professional training. At the same time, in order to improve the efficiency of electronic teaching, the school has comprehensively updated and optimized its computer network to enhance the speed and stability of the electronic learning platform.
