Strengthen intrinsic motivation and adapt courses according to ability

In order to consolidate students' English proficiency, the English subject actively optimizes its curriculum and participates in the "Curriculum Development Leadership Program" organized by the Language Teaching Support Section of the Education Bureau. Through its professional advice and support, it analyzes the English subject's curriculum development goals, jointly devises effective teaching strategies, and enhances students' learning abilities. The English curriculum is designed based on students' interests, and supplementary teaching materials are added to different units. School-based writing teaching materials are also specially formulated, and layered worksheets are designed to consolidate the grammatical foundation of students with weaker English ability and enrich sentence vocabulary. It also provides challenging supplementary exercises for students with stronger ability, and adds challenge questions to the test papers to encourage students with different learning needs to set goals according to their abilities and strive for excellence.

In addition, the English subject also conducts cross-subject activities with different subject groups, combining drama learning elements to allow students to understand what they have learned and explore topics in different subjects. "Last year, we conducted English drama classes with the theme of 'Inheritance and Innovation'. The teacher first established the background of the script for the students, and then asked the students to create their own plots, songs, dances and monologues. The learning effect was remarkable." In order to create a new English learning environment, the school's English learning space "E-zone" is open regularly every week, and students are welcome to read, play and chat.
