The English Department regularly organizes diversified English activities to provide students with opportunities for cross-cultural exchanges and enhance students' interest in learning English. The English Society also regularly conducts English radio broadcasts on campus, playing English songs and hosting programs in English to create a good English learning environment and a pleasant atmosphere. At the same time, in order to enrich students' vocabulary, the English Society holds a five-day English Week event every year. Through different forms of activities, such as English word typing competition, English movie appreciation, coffee knowledge and latte art workshops, stall games, English tongue twisters, riddles, treasure hunts, etc., students can learn English easily and interestingly.

In order to improve students' reading interest and English speaking ability, the school specially arranges foreign English teachers from the UK to teach English reading classes and English conversation classes. The English Department holds English drama or musical theater workshops every year, and arranges professional drama troupes to perform lively English dramas for students in Form One to Form Five to enhance students' interest in learning English. In addition to enjoying the performance in the audience, you can also interact with foreign actors and strengthen your confidence and communication skills. The students also ranked among the top ten in the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals "Good People and Good Deeds: English Story Writing Competition 2023-24" with their outstanding performance. Principal Lam Man Kit said: "This award is awarded to the top two percent of contestants at this level. English summer camp promotes peer exchange and learning

Students participate in the "Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Joint School English Summer Camp" every year, and the instructors are all overseas college students whose native language is English. Through fun games and activities, students can be exposed to different areas of knowledge and enhance their interest in learning. By communicating with foreign teachers during the activities, students can improve their English speaking skills and self-confidence. In addition, the "Summer English Day Camp" organized by the subject group is also taught by native English-speaking tutors. Secondary 2 students participate in the "Hong Kong Summer Bridge English Course Program". The tutors in the program come from famous middle schools, international schools and universities in Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. Teach, guide and inspire students in a pure English environment. Students participate in the five-week Summer Bridge summer course program, through which students can enhance their English communication skills, develop leadership skills and build self-confidence.

Overseas exchange groups broaden international horizons

For example, the school earlier organized a 14-day English study tour in the UK. 20 students took English classes with students from European countries at Royal Holloway, University of London, and conducted sports exchanges, talent and fashion performances, international cultural evenings and team competitions. The study tour had a rich itinerary. The students visited local places of interest and experienced the strong academic atmosphere and scholarly atmosphere at the colleges of Oxford University and Cambridge University to further improve their English skills and confidence.
