LIGHT AND LOVE HOME HAPPY KINDERGARTEN (ON TAI)’s school mission is to “live a healthy life, create a happy family, and build a harmonious community.” The school emphasizes cultivating children with love, using games as a strategy, and running through the content of each learning area through the “five major campuses” to allow children to explore and learn in a caring and inspiring environment. Learning; and family is the core that shapes children's development. The school actively promotes home-school collaboration to jointly promote children's healthy, happy and balanced development. The school also arranges diversified community activities to allow students to start from themselves and become caring and intelligent children at home, school and even in the community. The school provides children with life-oriented activities that emphasize sensory exploration and interesting activities. Through hands-on operations and experiences, children are encouraged to explore and learn independently. They also raise turtles and plant plants to cultivate an attitude of caring for nature and seeking knowledge. The school attaches great importance to children's physical and mental health and designs school-based life education courses and positive parent-child activities to encourage parents to practice with their children. It also makes good use of the school stage and allows children to perform talent performances from time to time to build self-confidence. It also participates in health programs, student lectures and various physical examinations organized by various organizations to help children establish healthy eating and living habits. In addition, diversified experiential learning activities are arranged to allow children to go out of school, such as Ocean Park, Science Museum, Saving Water Carnival, etc., to enrich their learning experience and broaden their horizons, and to cultivate children's good citizenship and positive attitude towards life.

Establish a harmonious society and practice caring actions

In order to strengthen children's sense of belonging to the community, the school often leads children to explore the community, such as markets, restaurants, shops, etc., and makes good use of community resources, and participates in various community activities, such as: On Tai Village Good News, Kwun Tong District New Year Activities, Charity Walking Day Fundraising, Charity Marathon Performances, etc. In addition to caring for the community through practical actions, we also encourage children to become "little caring pioneers" and practice caring actions. Last year's graduation ceremony was themed "Childlike Care, Love and Fun". The school was honored to invite the Deputy Secretary for Education, Mr. Sze Chun-fai, JP, to officiate at the ceremony to encourage the graduates. The school hopes that after children enter primary school, they will continue to shine with "light", pass on "love" and incorporate "fun" in learning.

Create a happy family and work together to nurture children’s growth

The school has always maintained good communication and collaboration with parents, and regularly holds parent-child days, workshops and parent-child activities, such as parent classes, building block parent-child workshops, parent-child fun days, etc., to strengthen the connection between the school and parents and enhance parent-child relationships. The school focuses on connecting learning and life, such as designing the "Together Child Morality" activity to help children develop good moral character in daily life. It has also established a parent-teacher association to plan various types of activities to promote home-school cooperation. Parent volunteers actively assist the school and give full play to their strengths, such as serving as story parents, assisting with outdoor visits, etc., to jointly cultivate children to grow up healthily and happily.

Inherit Chinese culture

The school received funding from the Quality Education Fund to implement learning activities related to national education and national security education to strengthen students' national identity, with satisfactory results. Different Chinese idiom stories are used at all levels to develop and extend related activities. For example, the senior class uses "Iron Pestle to Grind a Needle" as an introduction. In addition to allowing students to understand the cultural characteristics of ancient people in clothing, food, housing, and transportation, they also conduct different experience activities, such as wearing ancient costumes, tasting candied haws, etc. They are very interested. In addition, parent-child New Year’s Eve markets, filial piety activities, parent workshops, such as bonsai and gold leaf paintings, and parent-child visits to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Sam Tung Uk Museum are organized to pass on Chinese culture through diversified activities.
