Cross-curricular reading to cultivate independent learning

In the new school year, the school has established three core concerns, of which cross-curricular reading ranks first. The school implements a school-wide reading promotion strategy, integrates reading into the teaching system of various subjects, formulates exclusive reading policies, encourages students to read extensively extracurricular materials, and breaks the limitations of textbooks. It designs multi-level reading plans for students, and monitors organize classmates to borrow books and carry out collective reading activities to create a strong reading atmosphere during communication. Students can choose different categories of books according to their own preferences, gradually develop a love for reading through independent selection and in-depth reading, and eventually establish good habits of independent learning.

Deepen STEAM education and give back knowledge to society

The deepening development of STEAM education is another focus of the school in the new school year. With "solving life problems" as its core orientation, it not only offers courses on robotics and artificial intelligence, but also focuses on guiding students to combine knowledge with real life to achieve active learning and application. Taking last year's "Happy City" special project for Form 3 students as an example, students conducted research on urban design, building planning and other issues, thinking about how to improve residents' happiness through scientific planning, and learned to give back the knowledge they learned to society.

The open day will not only display students' innovation and technology works, but also present the results of subject learning in various forms, allowing parents and people from all walks of life to have an in-depth understanding of students' diverse growth."

Promote the EMI model and achieve cross-disciplinary integration

The school's emphasis on and innovation in English teaching is also distinctive, and it actively promotes the EMI (English-medium) model. Not only does it have all-English teaching classes, but the civics subjects are also taught in English. What is even more unique is that the school integrates drama education into English language classes and incorporates it into the formal curriculum, rather than just as an extracurricular activity. Through drama training in the classroom, students not only improve their literary literacy and drama performance skills, but also enhance their English learning interest and self-confidence during stage presentation and expression, achieving a deep integration of interdisciplinary education.
