oa_orientation_activities_n_healthy_lifeMeetings for F.1 parents are held in July and August. A Summer Bridging Course for enhancing Form 1 students’ English Language proficiency is organized in July and August. Form 1 Student Learning Camp and Peer Support Scheme are to be organised in September. Form 1 Parents' Meeting and Parent-Teacher Association Annual General Meeting are held in October.

Under the supervision of the Incorporated Management Committee, the Administrative Committee takes full responsibility of school administration work and management of all boards. The Academic Committee takes charge of curriculum planning and all subject panels. The School Improvement Board is responsible for school self-evaluation and improvement in school policy.

school_green_policyAll students are members of the Environmental Protection Society, and they have to follow the Green Policy. Recycling and programmes such as one-person-one-flower scheme and beach cleaning are held to raise students’ environmental awareness. Green Prefects are also selected to assist the implementation of the Green Policy.
learning_and_teaching_strategiesOur teachers, who have undergone teacher training, are experienced educators. In addition to emphasising academic excellence, we also actively promote values education and character development among students, encouraging them to serve others with sincerity. Implementation of the curriculum guides of Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau is made with adaptation to the capabilities and needs of our students. We emphasize interactive teaching methods and assessment for learning. We encourage participation in Extensive Reading Schemes for Chinese and English Language, Shared Reading promoted by the Reading Club, Reading Award Schemes, Open Reading Competitions and the Morning Reading Scheme with emphasis on reading English materials.

life_planning_education1. Life planning lessons are conducted at different levels;
2. F.3 to F.6 students will have consultation sessions with Careers Teachers to identify their strengths and interests and to help with career planning.
3. Life planning activities are co-organised with external organizations, e.g. job shadowing, interview workshop, company visit and entrepreneurship programme.
whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversityOur school devises different learning and teaching strategies to cater for learner diversity. In Form 1 and Form 2, students are streamed into different ability groups in Chinese and English classes to enhance language learning and teaching. Numerous afterschool classes are provided, such as English enrichment courses, writing elite classes, speaking groups and remedial courses. Chinese and Mathematics enrichment and remedial courses are also provided. Our school also focuses on the all-round development of students. Different afterschool elite programmes and competitions are arranged for students to unleash their potentials in different areas.
whole_school_approach_integrated_educationOur school dedicates to develop Inclusive Education, using the whole school approach to support the students with special needs. By using the Learning Support Grant, our school provides appropriate supportive services to enhance the learning effectiveness of those students in need and help them to integrate into school lives. Our school has developed a Student Support Team to provide professional guidance and counselling service to students in need, facilitating them to learn and grow. The team members include our School Principal, Vice Principal, Guidance Mistress, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), Guidance Teachers, Social Workers, Educational Psychologist, Counseling Psychologist and Speech Therapist. Our school makes good use of the Learning Support Grant to provide appropriate training, guidance and adjustments to those students in need, helping them to improve their social communication skills and learning abilities. Our school also values home-school co-operation. We develop an effective communication system with parents and support their children with appropriate strategies.
support_for_non_chinese_studentsOur school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. To facilitate the non-Chinese speaking students' learning of Chinese in a systemic way, and help them integrate into mainstream Chinese Language classes, our school also organizes the Peer Reading Scheme for NCS students to consolidate their learning of Chinese, and adjust the internal assessment for them.
