school_green_policyCivic Education Committee is dedicated to assist setting up environmental protection and health policies. Our school has also partnered with TWGHs ICAPT to implement "Let's Shine Healthy School Programme" which offers activities such as game booths, talks and skill training to promote healthy and green lifestyle.
learning_and_teaching_strategies1. To place emphasis on language enhancement, Form 1 and Form 2 students have to attend Chinese, English, Mathematics remedial classes to consolidate their learning foundation. The NSS Electives bridging courses are offered for Form 3 students to experience the NSS learning modes; ; Qualification Framework Courses (Art, Design and Media; Basic Baking) are offered for Form 4 students. Besides, all students have to attend the Life-wide Learning Courses and the Other Learning Experience Courses to cater for learner diversity and to achieve learning goals beyond classroom learning.
2. Ensure that students are able to manage the learning contents and knowledge in the secondary education stage in order to fulfill the targets of whole person education.
3. Focusing on students' different interests and potentials, teachers foster students’ creative thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving and applying abilities to enhance students multiple-intelligences developments.

With the well integration of cross-curriculum operations, teachers organize multi-learning activities, integrate knowledge & experience for students learning, cultivate students’ life-long learning attitudes and offer multi-learning experiences for students.
major_renewed_emphases_in_the_school_curriculum"Reading to learn": Establishing the cross-curricular reading lessons, E-reading scheme, Reading Contract Scheme, book recommendation, reading booth, reading log and morning reading programmes to arouse the students' interests and to enhance abilities in reading.
"Project Learning": Cross-curricular collaboration is carried out through setting up key investigative skills in junior forms to develop a collection, integration, analytical, presentation, collaboration and communication skills among students.
"Information Technology for interactive learning": Interactive boards have been installed in all classrooms. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Programme has been implemented to facilitate learning. E-attendance, E-notice and e-payment systems are implemented to enhance efficiency in promoting the implementation of artificial intelligence teaching and information technology application training.
"Moral and Civic education": Mass educational programs like Tung Wah moral education curriculum and extended learning activities, morning assembly talks, bi-weekly assemblies, cross-curricular activities, teaching of national situations & national securities, joining ‘Whole School Health Programme’ introduced by Department of Health, class periods, cultural exchange tours in- and out-of the territories, service plans and health & environmental protection promotion activities are held to foster students’ positive values & social awareness.
life_planning_educationOur school co-organized a series of activities with the Educational Psychologist Team of Tung Wah Group of Hospital. Life planning curriculum 'My Way' has been implemented in the junior classes, which aims to raise students’ self-understanding, communication skills, self-confidence and so on. At the same time, the 'smart goal programme' is implemented throughout the school to assist students in setting goals. Seminars focused on further studies and careers have been organized for S3 to S6 students. Not only letting students obtain more related information on further studies and career choices, they are also able to do more self-reflection and broaden their horizons. Apart from various seminars, senior forms students can choose to take Qualification Framework courses. Applied Learning courses are offered to S5 and S6 students as electives. S6 students are also referred to Youth Employment Training Programme provided by Hong Kong Employment Development Service Limited, which enrich their job skills through authentic activities. In order to enhance students' job application and interview skills as well as other useful strategies, we have organized English and Chinese mock interviews, workshops for resume writing, summer job placements and so on. All these are valuable in raising students' competitiveness. The purpose is to provide students with multi-platform for learning and assist them to pursue life-long learning and ideal career.
whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversityOur school adopt the whole-school approach to integrated education which emphasizes the balanced development of students in moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic. We work closely with EDB, tertiary institutions and other professional organizations. We adopt “Preparation, Implementation and Evaluation” as a self-evaluation system to review and improve our curriculum, teaching strategies and assessments. We help students get exposure to various other learning activities which students can gain both practical knowledge and application, enabling them to showcase their skills and talents. Furthermore, we participated in Caring School Award Programme jointly organized by Education Bureau and Hong Kong Christian Service and received the "Caring School Award" for ten consecutive years from 2013 to 2024.
whole_school_approach_integrated_educationStudent Support Team is formed from the Principal, Vice Principals, Academic Committee Coordinators, Counselling and Guidance Master, Discipline Master, Social Workers, Education Psychologist, Speech Therapist, SEN Coordinator, SEN Support Teachers and the panel chairpersons of Chinese, English, Mathematics and Citizenship & Social Development. It is devoted to coordinating and planning the strategies for catering students' diverse learning needs.
With the Learning Support Grant, our school has launched a variety of activities like remedial classes for Chinese, English and Mathematics, social skills training, concentration training, speech therapy, individualized educational programme and other counseling services. Regular case conferences, subject meetings and lesson co-planning are held to monitor student development and learning. We also provide examination accommodations like the use of screen readers, extra time allowance, supervised breaks during examination, abridged question papers.
We launched Student Mentorship Programme which each student is assigned a class teacher as their mentor whose role is to observe students' school life and learning progress through weekly meetings. Examination and homework accommodation Talk and parent groups are organized to provide parenting support and establish communication channels. School support summary reports are also issued every student every year to give parents and students a comprehensive overview of learning and student growth support provided by the school.
