In addition to traditional subjects, our school also offers elective subjects such as Literature in English and Music in response to students' learning and interest development. Teaching staff from universities are invited to teach Artificial Intelligence in our school, and the topics are Biotechnology, Big Data and Engineering Physics. S.1 and S.2 students are required to complete the compulsory modules, Chinese Calligraphy Class and English Drama Class. Art Development: Our school is committed to the development of art, promoting art education through the Art Development Committee, allowing students to experience the joy of art both inside and outside the school, and even abroad. Our "Art Friday" training program which takes place every Friday after school, provides students with 27 types of training in singing, musical instruments, drama, visual arts, and science and art. Students are free to choose the projects they are interested in. Our art teams are often invited to participate in internal and external performances. In recent years, our art teams have won gold and silver awards in several categories in the Hong Kong Joint Schools Music Competition in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 respectively, and we were awarded the “Outstanding Arts Training Award" in 2024. The Handbell Team won the Gold Award in the Hong Kong Joint Schools Music Competition for four consecutive years in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, while the Orchestra, A Cappella, Percussion, Dance and Children's Choir Choirs also won the Gold and Silver Awards in the Competition respectively. The handbell team won Silver and Gold Awards in the Intermediate and Advanced categories at the "Hong Kong International Handbell Olympics 2024 & 2025." Recently, they were recognized as the Best Secondary School Handbell Team at the "14th Hong Kong Handbell Festival," earned a Silver Award at the "14th Inter-school Handbell Competition," and received the Open Group Creative Performance Honour Award at the "14th Hong Kong Handbell Competition," where they performed with an a cappella choir. They also garnered an Honourable Mention in the Creative Performance Category at the same festival. In recent years, our school has also organized overseas art study tours successively. Students have traveled to the University of Melbourne in Australia and the University of Cambridge in the UK to receive music training and give public performances. They have also participated in international music festivals in Switzerland and international art festivals in Scotland, etc., to enhance their artistic skills and broaden their horizons. Furthermore, our school's a cappella choir and the Science and Technical Arts Team received an invitation from the "Spring Experimental Theatre" to perform in 2024. They participated in live singing performances and backstage management for the musical "Reunion," taking part in a total of five shows at the Tuen Mun Town Hall, providing students with a wealth of stage experience. 3. AFS Intercultural Exchanges: To broaden students' international horizons and foster their understanding of diverse cultures, our school has joined the AFS Host School Program.
