whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversityThe school adopts small-class teaching, designing teaching content and activities according to students' varying levels. Additionally, after-school support is provided to students in need to enhance their academic performance and learning motivation:
1. S.1 Bridging Course: The school organizes an S1 Bridging Course during the summer, covering academic studies, English enrichment, personal development, interpersonal relationships, and extracurricular activities. This course assists students prepare for the upcoming academic year.
2. Induction Program for Newly Arrived Students from Mainland: The school offers a 24-hour induction program to help students adapt to the local social environment and education system. The program includes personal growth and community learning, traditional Chinese and Cantonese learning, as well as basic English, grammar, and communication skills.
3. SEN Support: The school will implement teaching and assignment adjustments for each subject, organize pull-out classes for individuals or groups, and provide exam/test modifications to ensure that all students can learn effectively and receive fair evaluations.
4. Enhancement and Remedial Program for Senior Form Students: The school regularly reviews senior form students' performance across subjects. High-potential students will be invited to participate in enhancement courses. Additionally, the school will estimate each student's DSE level based on their exam results. For students failing to meet university admission requirements, the school will create personalized remedial lesson plans.

Relevant policies are primarily coordinated and planned by the Student Support Team, which includes the Principal, Vice Principals, SEN Coordinator, SEN teachers, Guidance Officer, Careers Guidance Officer, Multicultural Officer and Social Workers. By collaborating with teachers, professionals, and parents, and conducting regular reviews of support progress and effectiveness, the school aims to create an inclusive and caring campus.
The school will utilize Learning Support Grants and school-based resources flexibly to arrange educational psychologist services, counseling psychologist services, social communication training groups, executive function training groups, and a variety of inclusive cultural, mental health, and career planning activities. Additionally, the school will develop personalized support mechanisms and reward systems based on students' individual needs to ensure that students with SEN receive diverse and comprehensive support.
support_for_non_chinese_studentsOur school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and hiring additional manpower and/or translation/interpretation services to facilitate the communication with parents of NCS students.
adaptation_for_learning_and_assessment1. Remedial and enhancement classes of all subjects are provided to students according to students’ ability.
2. Promotion and retention is discussed according to each individual student with the priority on student’s attitude followed by academic performance.
3. For the sake of catering to SEN students, the School will provide different assignments and special arrangements for tests including lengthening the time allowed, enlarging the font size, etc.

Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Finance Office of the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA), could apply for fee remission.

teacher_pro_training_and_devThe elite team in the School has many staff attained Master level or above. Discipline Master Mr. Chan Shu Chun has been awarded ‘The Best Teacher in Hong Kong’, and the Principal, Dr. Yeung Wing Hon has received commendation from the former Head of Education Bureau and the current Vice-Principal of Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Dr. Yeung is highly devoted to life-long learning and has attained 2 doctorate and 3 master titles.
life_wide_learning1. The School always focuses on the holistic development of students. Therefore, many extra-curricular activities, including Chinese culture, academic study, arts, sports, social service and discipline training, are provided to students to enrich their life.
2. We are the first local Chinese school to sign up for the inaugural School of Rugby programme in Hong Kong.
3. We provide students with a series of worldwide exchange programmes and international cultural exchange activities to widen their horizons, for example, exchange programmes with Germany, International music workshop, International Symposium on Water Resources Protection, Sister School Scheme, American, Denmark and India life experience programmes, Inner Mongolia tour, Taiwan, Japan, Korean tour.
4. Our students have won several prizes in both local and international competitions. For instance, our students represented Hong Kong to win a Bronze Medal in the International Sustainable World (IEEE) Project Olympiad in Houston, United States. One of our students was awarded the winner of first 100 writers of year in Hong Kong. Also a student was awarded the winner by 65th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (English Speech Competition). The Orienteering Team has also won numerous prizes in country-wide competitions. Our volunteer team has provided social service for more than 1000 hours. Excellent performance was shown in uniform units, design, drama, Chinese opera, fencing, judo, etc.
5. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Life-wide Learning Fund, After-School Learning and Support Scheme, and Leung Ho Tong Memorial Fund, $500-Travel subsidy are established to help students with financial burden to participate in extra-curricular activities.

The School is built next to a hillside surrounded by flowers and trees with a scenic backyard in an ancient architectural style which makes it an ideal place for students to study, self-reflect and learn about Confucianism.

The School is well-equipped with IT facilities including a Multi-Media Language Laboratory, two Computer Rooms, an Intranet, a Self-Learning Platform etc, to help students make use of IT for better communication, collaboration, data searching and data processing for the sake of effective learning.
