2. Curriculum highlights: The school attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' self-directed learning ability. Each subject introduces the self-directed learning elements, and emphasizes pre-class preview, cooperative learning and extended learning after class. The school values the importance of equipping students with future knowledge. In addition to Chinese language, English and Putonghua at the junior secondary levels, programming is also added as a fourth language. The school also offers elective courses for junior secondary students. S.1 to S.3 students can choose one elective course during the weekday classes. There are 16 elective courses in total, including Japanese, Korean, Robotics Programming, Drone Soccer, Architecture, Innovation & Technology Design, Mobile Videography, Drama, Chinese Ink Painting, Fashion Design, Cosmetic Makeup & Skincare, Music KOL, Chinese Medicine & Culture, Creative Culinary. To cater to learner diversity, the English Core Curriculum and the Maths school-based materials are particularly designed for S.1 less able students. Teaching and learning materials are produced to help the students lay the foundations of English and enhance their confidence and interest in the language. The School develops a comprehensive life education curriculum for S.1-S.6 based on the holy spirit of Christian education and the theory of positive education (PERMA+H), aiming at serving the physical, mental and spiritual needs of students.

whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversityThe School offers a series of enhancement programmes to expand the abilities of outstanding students in various fields, such as English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science. Additionally, we have after-school learning groups and homework classes for junior students in Chinese, English, and Mathematics, aiming at supporting less able students and strengthen their foundation. To cater for learner diversity, split classes are arranged for our Chinese and English lessons, allowing teachers to design more targeted teaching activities based on students' abilities and needs. Furthermore, for weaker S1 Mathematics classes, the co-teaching approach is adopted to foster self-directed learning, enabling students to grasp the learning content and increasing their motivation to learn.

We provide a diverse range of support services to enhance their learning effectiveness. The Student Support Team works alongside our educational psychologist, social workers and counsellors to plan, implement and review various support initiatives, ensuring comprehensive assistance for students with special educational needs. We provide professional services and a variety of support measures for these students, including psychological counselling from clinical psychologists, speech therapy services, after-school homework tutoring and pre-exam revision classes, Chinese literacy training groups, after-school groups for Chinese, English, and Mathematics, emotional management groups, executive skills groups, PEERS social skills groups, and inclusive activities. Additionally, our school provides learning, homework and exam adjustments based on students' specific learning needs, helping them through interdisciplinary collaboration. For students facing individual learning or adaptation challenges, we implement an individual education plan to support and cater for the needs of these students. Furthermore, we organize parent seminars and teacher workshops to foster consensus among stakeholders in supporting students with special educational needs.
