| learning_and_teaching_strategies | All teachers who are degree holders of their field of study and have received professional teacher training possess a serious attitude towards teaching. The school has set up the Teaching and Learning Research Team to focus on how to devise diversified and effective strategies to boost the overall teaching effectiveness. The school continues to implement the whole-school reading scheme. There is a reading corner in each classroom. The most suitable books that are placed in the corner for morning reading are purchased jointly by the homeroom teacher and students. In addition, there is a fifteen-minute newspaper reading time for students after lunch. This is on one hand, for the pleasure of reading and on the other hand, to keep abreast with current news. As for creating an English-speaking environment, the school holds English Days to motivate and encourage students to speak. Besides, students need to participate in social services in school and the community as well as in leadership training activities in order to increase their willingness to serve people and to nurture their leadership skills. |
