| language_policy | Our school adopts English as the main medium of instruction. To strengthen students' proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua and enable our students to be biliterate (English and Chinese) and trilingual (English, Putonghua and Cantonese), we have allocated additional resources, employed ten more teachers and used Putonghua as the medium of instruction in a number of Chinese classes. As it is always our goal to help our students to further their studies in universities, in addition to regular classes, our school also organises small classes with intensive English inputs for students in need of extra language support. |

| oa_orientation_activities_n_healthy_life | Our school has a number of Chinese, English, Mathematics and Putonghua bridging courses, Study Skills Training Workshops, Visual Arts Classes organized by the Visual Arts Academy, Music Interest Groups, and Elementary Army Pipes and Drums courses. We also organize the S.1 Orientation Week and a seminar for S.1 Parents to help them adapt to secondary school life and know more about the school respectively. We motivate students to take part in activities related to physical fitness, such as uniform team trainings, Sports Day, Apple Day as well as external competitions and activities. | whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversity | Chinese, English, Mathematics and Integrated Humanities will be taught by using group-teaching method with classes and groups separated according to students' ability. Elite classes and remedial classes will be provided after school for them. Meanwhile, school curriculum, different teaching activities and schoolwork in different subjects will also be designed according to students’ ability so as to provide support and training for those who have special needs in learning. |
| whole_school_approach_integrated_education | We adopt the Whole School Approach to implement integrated education. The Student Support Team has been set up (including the vice-principal, academic mistress, discipline master, counselling master, SEN coordinator, SEN supporting teacher, Chinese and English teachers, associate teachers, etc.) to support students with special education needs. We also arrange teachers to participate in relevant teacher trainings to enhance their professional competence. In addition, we flexibly use the Learning Support Grant and other on-campus resources to support students with special education needs, including the appointment of associate teachers to offer individual and group trainings according to their needs; and the purchase of speech therapy services for students with corresponding needs. In addition, we also take care of the learning differences of students with special needs through measures like homework adjustments and special examination arrangements. In order to identify the special educational needs of students early and facilitate home-school communication, the SEN coordinator and SEN supporting teacher meet with relevant students and parents on the S.1 registration day. We also work closely with the Education Bureau and professionals such as educational psychologists to conduct case conferences and assessments, so that the class teachers and the subject teachers can understand the updated situation of the students to provide relevant support in their school life and learning. We also design Individual Education Plan for more needy students and invite parents to participate in meetings, so reviews about the effectiveness of different arrangements can be carried out regularly, from which parents can teach and take care of their child more effectively. |

The committee members of the Home-School Association have organized a variety of large-scale and high quality interest groups such as Chinese opera, painting, knitting and the making of wire mesh flowers, etc. These activities help to increase the parents' sense of belonging to the school. |
