language_policyIt is our policy to promote bi-literacy and tri-lingualism and adopt Chinese as the main medium of instruction. Some of the junior subjects use English as the medium of instruction according to students' learning ability in different classes. We have incorporated extended English learning activities in selected subjects to enhance their English learning skills. We have put great effort in creating an English-rich environment for students. A variety of interactive English activities, such as English announcements broadcast in morning assembly, "English Friday", "English Day", English Song Competition and English Choral Speaking Competition are organised to increase students’ exposure to English.
In junior levels, Putonghua lessons are offered to enhance their communication skills.

Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2026 ).For each application, we will consider the following factors, academic performance (40%), conduct (20%), the performance in the interview (20%), non-academic performance (15%), and connection with our school (5%). oa_orientation_activities_n_healthy_lifeWe run a bridging program which includes class management, study skill, discipline training and counseling, religious education as well as Chinese and western musical training for new S.1 students in August. We also organize S.1 parents' talk in September. In December, we will organize a 3-day religious camp for them to acquire discipline training and cooperation skills.

We are very concerned about the physical, mental and spiritual development of our students. Our school cooperates with the church, Department of Health, and various organizations in educating them on how to achieve healthy lives in order to enable them to cope with challenges throughout their lives.

imc_smc_mcThe IMC formulates Christian education policies of the school in accordance with the vision and mission set by the Pentecostal Church of Hong Kong. The Principal leads the school team to deliver quality education. Our IMC is composed of church leaders, educators and professionals who have extensive experience in education and school management. They have vision and passion and are actively involved in the development of the school.

To arouse student's awareness of environmental protection, various projects with green concerns, such as “Reusable Cutlery Scheme”, “Environment Friendly Air-Conditioning Scheme” and "Green Picnic" are implemented.
learning_and_teaching_strategiesTo provide a more appropriate care for our students, additional language teachers are employed to offer small group teaching in both Chinese and English Languages for all forms. Besides, Mathematics in senior forms are also taught in small groups to cater for learners' diversity.
Wi-Fi network is installed in all classrooms and "BYOD" plan is implemented gradually to enhance students' active learning inside and outside the classrooms. In order to foster the reading habit of students, assembly reading sessions, supervised by class teachers are arranged. 2. Curriculum highlights:
i) A school-based English curriculum for junior form has been developed to cater for learner's diversity.
ii) Junior form subjects are closely linked to senior secondary curriculum, so as to enhance students' learning effectiveness.
iii) Diversified electives are offered in senior form. Our school also provides Visual Arts as an elective, students can choose the electives in accordance with their abilities and interest.
major_renewed_emphases_in_the_school_curriculum1. Reading to Learn: Various reading related activities such as sharing by popular authors, book sharing by teachers, book fairs and drama appreciation are organised to enhance students' interest in reading. Implementation of regular assembly reading, “Extensive Reading Scheme”, “Online Reading Scheme” and “A book from Parent Scheme” can further develop students' reading skills, consolidate their reading habits and widen their horizons.
2. Information Technology for blended learning: All classrooms are equipped with IT facilities, including WiFi network, tablets and other mobile devices, which facilitate blended learning.
3. Project Learning and STREAM Activities: In order to cultivate students' critical thinking, creativity, cooperation skills and problem solving skills, etc. Project learning and different learning activities such as on-the-spot investigation, scientific research and STREAM activities are introduced in junior forms.
4. Moral and Civic Education: A moral development focus is set each year. Designated values, qualities and attitudes are taught through class-teachers' periods and school assemblies. Students are required to participate in social services in order to develop their caring and serving spirit. Various activities such as flag hoisting ceremony, forums, talks, mainland exchange programs, national education (including Constitution, Basic Law and national security education), life educations, etc are held to enhance students' national identity and educate them to become a law-abiding citizen.

whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversityStreaming and small class teaching are arranged for English Language, Mathematics and Chinese Language to suit the needs of students with different abilities. We provide a school-based gifted education programme for gifted students by conducting pull-out classes in specific areas (e.g. mathematics, science, science and technology, humanities and leadership) outside the regular classroom so as to offer them enrichment and specific extension programs. We also nominate high achievers to join gifted programmes and activities offered by tertiary institutions or external organisations to broaden their horizons and enhance their knowledge, attitudes, skills and values.
whole_school_approach_integrated_educationOur school raises the awareness of and provide support to our entire school staff to help them understand the students with special educational needs, and assists our teachers in tailoring their curriculum to accommodate professional staff's suggestions for the support of our students' learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
We provide special training and assistance to individual students with special educational needs, which include study assistance, homework and examination adjustment and after-school homework classes. Students are divided into classes according to their abilities to reduce the teacher-student ratio in a class, which allows students of different abilities to be given proper care.
We promote home-school cooperation and furthermore, collective participation in the formation and regular review of the effectiveness of the Individualised Educational Plans (IEP), in order to allow parents to understand and engage their children's special education need.

home_school_co_operationWe treasure the close liaison with our parents. Our monthly newsletters keep our parents up to date on school matters. The teachers' prayer groups gather monthly to advance the communication among teachers and encourage teachers to share teaching experiences. Our teaching staff also actively participate in the Education Bureau training courses.
life_wide_learningWe have provided a variety of extra-curricular activities and co-curricular activities for students in accordance with their abilities and interests. Through participation, students can develop their potentials, interpersonal cooperation and leadership skills. Over the years, our students performed well in areas like sports, choral speaking, music, civic education and social service. The school has also set up the School Band and the Chinese Orchestra that have many outstanding performances in various occasions.

The STREAM Centre is equipped with AI robot cars, mBot sets, programmable educational robots, programmable drones, camera drones, 3D printer and laser cutting machine.
This year, the school has also newly established a STREAM Lab to support the school’s in-house mechanical car and rocket car interdisciplinary courses, further promoting STREAM education.

To widen the horizons and to understand the culture of different countries, we have organised study tours around the world. Our Brass Band members have joined the Band Festival in Macau, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan, too. We have also organised study tour to United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand during the summer vacation in order to provide opportunities for students to learn English and experience other cultures.

In order to discover the potentials of students, provide environments for students to learn how to care, help others and help themselves, our students commit themselves to voluntary services. A school-based social services team, "Kwan Hin", has been running for 30 years, making remarkable contribution to the community.
