language_policy	1. Medium of Instruction: English is, and will continue to be, the Medium of Instruction (MOI) for most subjects in our School. As advised by the EDB, certain subjects in Junior Secondary will be taught in Chinese for some students. This will be a strategy to cater for students' learning diversity. Moreover, relevant measures to facilitate students' smooth transition to the Senior Secondary Curriculum (English as the Medium) will be implemented. 2. Medium of Communication: In order to help improve students' English and create an English Language environment in the school campus, English should be used as the medium of communication with students for teachers inside and outside classroom when the MOI for the subjects is English. All other teachers and staff are welcome to use English to communicate with students. 3. Purpose: Whole School Language Policy will be put in place in order to enrich the English Language environment in the school campus. Whole School team efforts are necessary to support students to communicate in English confidently and comfortably in an English-rich environment-one which is not conveniently available outside the school for the majority of our students, given their family backgrounds and preferred language. 4. Learning and Teaching: Language Across Curriculum (LAC) will help to coordinate efforts among Subject Departments and Committees to prepare necessary learning materials for students. Teachers should speak to the students in the same language inside and outside the classroom, i.e. English-medium subjects in English and Chinese-medium subjects in Cantonese/Putonghua. All are discouraged to use mixed code. 5. Students' Activities and Communication among Students: School Assemblies should be conducted in English, except for specific occasions as needs be. Materials on notice boards and display boards should be in English: or, in both English and Chinese as needs be. All publicity documents (such as circulars, notices and etc.) should be in English; or, in both English and Chinese as needs be. Mixed codes are not acceptable.

Students whose English potential is yet to be stretched will receive extra after-school learning support and care. Gifted students join pull-out programmes offered by the school, HKAGE, universities, etc. Enhancement programmes are arranged for weaker students. In addition, our school focuses on Whole Person Development. Collaboration across subject panels and committees to take care of students’ moral, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, aesthetic and spiritual development. Through resources allocation, students are provided with different support; The school works with parents through different channels to discuss strategies for supporting students. Our school has received additional resources from the Education Bureau, including: Learning Support Allowance; Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs; Whole School Approach to Integrated Education Programme. A SEN supporting group with special educational needs coordinator, special educational needs support teachers, student counselor and school-based speech therapist is established and the group is advised and supported by school social workers and educational psychologist. Also, a student counsellor is employed to take care of the individual differences under the WSA; Different school-based services are purchased such as Chinese, English and Mathematics after school remedial lessons, SpLD training classes, behavioral emotional management classes and social skill trainings to enhance their learning ability, confidence, social skills and interpersonal communication skills; Lectures on characteristics of students with SpLD are provided in junior form; Teachers take training courses about strategies for teaching students; Provide study and test adjustments to students in need.

home_school_co_operation	The PTA was founded in 1998. The mission of the PTA is to enhance communication between the school and students' families to build up a partnership so as to enhance students' welfare and provide better education for our students. The PTA not only actively participates in various school matters such as help monitoring lunch catering service, but they also hold different activities such as talks, weekend gatherings, and picnics for both parents and students. The parent volunteer team also serves the school on different occasions.

We aim to provide students with life-wide learning experiences and strengthen their understanding of history, culture and development of the world from multiple perspectives in order to achieve the aims of whole-person development. 1. The Business, Accounting and Finance, and Economics Departments organized exchange trips to experience Singapore's corporate culture, allowing students to expand their international perspectives by gaining in-depth knowledge of Singapore's economic development and cultural features. 2. The Geography Department and Biology Department organized an 8-day New Zealand Ecological Environment Study Tour, where students deepened their understanding of the relationship between humans and natural disasters through field investigations of various landscapes. 3. The PE Department arranged a 5-day Tainan Volleyball Training Exchange Program to broaden students' learning perspectives, enhance their volleyball skills, and introduce them to different training methods while improving their language abilities. Additionally, this initiative helps players engage in high-intensity training, immerse themselves in diverse cultures, and promote both personal and team growth. In addition, our school has joined the sister school scheme with Shenzhen Senior High School (Group) South Campus and Nanjing University Affiliated High School to deepen the understanding of the cultures of both places and to jointly enhance the quality of education.
