| school_green_policy | The School is committed to undertaking sound environmental practices throughout the entire School operations and raising all staff and students' awareness of their environmental responsibilities. Green Leaders in each class help promote various environmental protection activities in school. To keep efficient use of electricity, the temperature in classrooms is maintained at around 25 degree Celsius when air-conditioners are used. Recycle campaigns are held regularly to encourage students to reduce waste production in daily activities. The School keeps assessing students' performance in environmental protection and will give away The Green Awards to classes with good practice. | whole_school_approach_integrated_education | Our School adopts a Whole-School Approach to implement Integrated Education, ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) receive holistic and sustained support. A dedicated Student Support Team has been established, comprising the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, SEN Support Teachers, Guidance Teachers, School Social Workers, and the school-based Educational Psychologist. To foster professional growth and inclusive practices, we actively encourage our teachers to participate in training programmes related to SEN. To enhance learning accessibility, the School provides tailored teaching strategies and assessment accommodations for students with diverse needs. Through the strategic use of the Learning Support Grant and the Grant for Supporting NCS Students with SEN, we organise a wide range of targeted support initiatives. These include social skills workshops, speech therapy sessions, twice-exceptional learner programmes, and the development of Individualised Education Plans—all designed to help students navigate challenges in their academic and personal lives. In addition, our school has participated in the Student Mental Health Support Scheme (SMHSS). This programme provides specialised mental health support for students with SEN, particularly those facing emotional or psychological challenges. In order to strengthen the cooperation between parents and the School, our teachers meet with parents regularly to follow up on the progress of students’ performance and work out plans for the implementation of relevant support measures. | others | Kingsians performed well in both academic and non-academic areas, as well as in local and international competitions. They achieved remarkable results in the 2024 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination. Yung Cheuk Yin, Ryan, obtained seven 5** grades and became a “super top scorer”. Ng Yuk In Joe obtained five 5**. Kam Ka Wing, Lam Hung Kai and Lee Enoch got four 5**. 87.5% of students were admitted to local undergraduate programmes through JUPAS. Students display a fervent interest in science research. Our representatives won the Gold Award in the 10th International Invention Competition in Canada, as well as the Special Award in the China Adolescent Science & Technology Innovation Contest respectively. Some S5 and S6 students won the Platinum Medal in the French International Invention and Innovation Contest, PRIX EIFFEL, along with the 2024 Silver Medal in the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. Other awards include the First Place Award in the category of Chemistry and Material Science in the junior division of the HK Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, the Champion in the Hong Kong Science Project Competition in the junior division, and the Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Gold Award 2025. In addition, students performed well in other areas of STEAM. The Senior URC Team was awarded Champion in the Hong Kong Selection Round of the Universal Robotics Challenge 2025. The Innovative Team received Gold Awards in the Young AI Education Ambassador Award Programme 2024-25 and the AI Innovation Contest 2025. The Junior Team obtained the Golden Award and the Best Performance Award at the World Robot Olympiad 2024 - Hong Kong Robot Summer Challenge. Students display their musical and acting talents in competitions. Our representatives got the Gold Award and Silver Award at the Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows 2024. In the 77th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, students won 5 Champions, 9 First Runners-up and 7 Second Runners-up. Meanwhile, the English Drama Team obtained Outstanding Awards for Script, Director, Performer, Stage Effects, Cooperation, on top of the Commendable Overall Performance and the Adjudicators' Award. In the 76th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, students were awarded 2 Champions, 4 First Runners-up and 7 Second Runners-up in English speaking. In the Chinese-speaking categories, students won 2 Champions and 7 Second Runners-up in solo verse speaking and solo prose reading. The English Debate Team won the Champion in the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition. The Chinese Debate Team gained the First Runner-up both in the Secondary School Debate Competition (Community Cup) and 2nd Hong Kong Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Debating Competition, at which Chow Chung Him earned the Best Debater from the preliminary round to the grand finals. In the field of sports, our school teams achieved remarkable success in various inter-school competitions organised by the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation. The accolades include 1 Champion in the Inter-School Table Tennis Competition, 2 Third places in the Inter-School Handball Competition and Basketball Competition respectively, and 3 Gold Medals in the Inter-School Athletics Competition. Additionally, the School was awarded the "Fit Campus – Gold Award" under the School Physical Fitness Award Scheme in recognition of its commitment to student fitness and well-being. The School focuses on students’ whole-person development. Lui Sui Hoi and Ma Hong Yiu were respectively selected as the Hong Kong Island Outstanding Student and the Outstanding Student of the district in the Junior Secondary category of the 2024 Hong Kong Island Outstanding Student Award. The School also endeavours to cultivate a sense of belonging towards the country and national identity among students. Students participated in activities including the Basic Law Quiz Competition, the 17th Hong Kong Cup Diplomatic Knowledge Contest, the 2025 National Constitution Day Online Competition and 2025 “Chinese Civilization” Online Challenge. The School encourages students to join different exchange programmes.
