curriculum_planning"Based on our mission and goals, the curriculum reflects the school’s philosophy: Stimulate, Joy and Sustain. Stimulate: “Children’s wisdom is at their fingertips.” Our school encourages children to learn and apply their knowledge in everyday life. Joy: “Learn through playing without boundaries.” The children are empowered to make decisions, freely choosing their classrooms, teachers, companions, and activities, becoming the little leaders of the school. Sustain: “Step out of the campus and into community. ” Our school guides children to experience different cultures and creates a platform for their sustainable development and integration into the community. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation."
learning_or_teaching_approach_and_activities"Our kindergarten implements a school-based curriculum: “Project-Approach Learning,” where the learning themes relate to daily life. There is no specific teaching kit for the courses; we use picture books to spark the children’s interest in each topic. Through exploration, observation, experience, sharing, and data collection, our students construct knowledge, develop skills, and establish good habits and positive moral values. Field trips are organised for every project theme, and at the end of each project, the children’s learning outcomes are showcased. The school records each child’s learning progress and work in a booklet to support their ongoing development. Language education is of great importance to us. We promote biliteracy and trilingualism by providing an immersive trilingual environment. Each class has bilingual and trilingual teachers who organise activities relevant to everyday life, allowing children to naturally develop their language skills through various experiences. Our school’s mission is to nurture children with the spirit of Christ’s care, emphasising the development of their spiritual and moral education. Through religious activities and children’s worship, children learn about the truth of our heavenly Father and bear the fruits of the Spirit."
assessment_of_children_learning_experiences"To help parents understand their child’s development, our school provides each child with an ‘Individual Learning Experience Assessment Portfolio’ for both continuous and summative evaluation."
support_to_students"We provide an adaptation period for new students, transition activities from kindergarten to primary school, collaboration with community agencies, and partnerships between home and school, among other support measures"
