curriculum_planning"1. We follow the guidelines of the Education Bureau's Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide to develop a child-centered, comprehensive, and balanced curriculum. Our curriculum encompasses the whole-person development of the children, and strives to cultivate the thinking and problem-solving abilities of the children, to inspire their active learning attitudes, and to explore the potential of the young children. 2. Our school adopts the theme-based approach which is complemented by activities designed to break down boundaries of the areas of study and to connect what the children have learned in their daily life. 3. Our school emphasizes the cultivation of children's character and positive emotions. To promote positive education, our school focuses on the development of personal strengths and the establishment of positive emotions and a sense of happiness, to help children, parents and staff to move towards a fulfilled life. 4. Our school focuses on the development of biliteracy and trilingualism in young children. For instance, our English teachers arrange large group and small group lessons for the children every day. Through fun-filled games, we encourage children to put their English to practical use, in the aim to strengthen children’s interaction and communication, and to enhance their confidence in English. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation."
