curriculum_planning"Our school adopts the theoretical frameworks of ''Child-centeredness'' and ''Constructivist Learning'' in the development of the curriculum. The content includes six major learning domains and covers the development of children's multiple intelligences. Additionally, we offer a ''Bilingual (English and Cantonese) Program'' to provide a rich language environment for children to enhance their listening, speaking, and exposure to English. Through diverse and enriching language environments and learning experiences, we aim to encourage children to learn and think from multiple perspectives and dimensions, promote the integration of knowledge across different learning domains and achieve the most effective learning outcomes. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation."
learning_or_teaching_approach_and_activities"Our school introduces themes through picture book stories and employs teaching strategies such as drama education, scientific inquiry activities, integrated arts, free play, group study, project approach, supplemented by multimedia as a teaching medium. This allows children to gain experiences from activities and enjoy the joy of learning. Our school comprehensively promotes picture book teaching with a whole-language approach, enabling children to learn language from daily life, cultivate a reading culture and arrange interesting language activities with foreign teachers whose native language is English and professional Mandarin teachers. To enrich children's life experiences, all levels engage in holistic learning, allowing them to step outside the classroom and understand the world through the community environment and the people and things around them, broadening their horizons and enhancing imagination and expression through exploration and observation. By exploring various artistic creation activities (such as music, visual arts and movement), we develop children's potential and creative thinking. We create a diverse environment and activities, such as theater games and legendary stories, to cultivate good character and positive values in children, helping them understand the importance of respecting and caring for others and equipping them with problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills to build a harmonious society together."
assessment_of_children_learning_experiences"We utilize continuous observations to record the effectiveness of children's learning.
