learning_or_teaching_approach_and_activities"The school curriculum is designed with ''1+S'', where ''1'' represents the school-based curriculum; ''S'' stands for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) curriculum. The school-based curriculum will adopt the advantages of ''theme teaching'' and ''design activities'' for integrated teaching. Teachers will often plan themed lessons and learning activities so that students can learn in a variety of ways both inside and outside of the school classrooms. One day per week will be designated as ''STEAM Day'', where teachers will plan STEAM-themed lessons and activities based on the students' interests. They will perform small experiments, design activities, and interacting with Temi, Anchors’artificial intelligence robot. Temi will interact and answer the students’questions, and is loaded with tons of state-of-the-art technologies that will help encourage students to explore all their passions and interests. Anchors International Education Group aims to inspire students and help cultivate their problem solving skills. Hands-on engineering and visual arts projects will help prepare students for the rapid development of science and technology in the future. We incorporate ''Social Emotional Intelligence Education'' into the curriculum, so that students can learn the skills of managing their own emotions. In addition, as reading is such an important skill for students to learn, Anchors has also placed an emphasis on reading within the curriculum. Childhood is the most important growth stage in life, so we have specifically hired professional fitness teachers to design appropriate physical activities that cater to each students' individual physical development. We encourage students to participate in different types of competitions and performances in order to increase their self-confidence."
