curriculum_planning"Adopting a thematic and activity approach in teaching method, together with the application of multiple intelligences in curriculum design.Facilitating children to learn through play by using interesting objects, teaching materials and learning media. The English programme is designed by our foreign teachers. It is designed to enhance the children’s abilities to improve their English proficiency. We also provide Mandarin lessons through interesting activities so that the children can learn in a trilingual environment. In addition, our school perceives the importance of children learning through nature. The children can learn appreciation and respect through the process of exploration, thereby cultivating a broad and open mind, tolerating all things, and improving interpersonal relationships. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation."
learning_or_teaching_approach_and_activitiesChildren’s learning is based on theme-based activities and project approach. Through intriguing and tangible materials the children will enhance their learning. They will also utilize the means of media learning. We arrange a variety of outdoor activities so that the children will have the opportunity to explore and experience real life learning.
assessment_of_children_learning_experiences"Continuous learning progress assessments are conducted every week to allow teachers and parents to understand the children's weekly learning progress and situation and provide timely follow-ups. Teachers will also regularly record children's growth, learning and development process in response to the core development needs of each level. In addition, every comprehensive assessment of children's growth will be conducted every semester. Through close communications between the class teachers and the parents, parents can have a better understanding of their children's learning abilities. They also work together to promote a healthier growth in the children’s academic, physical and mental aspects."
